MacroVOLT™ includes MacroVOLT Live™, a tool that can be customized for delivering live Webcasts. It can be used alone or in combination with other MacroVOLT™ features. Furthermore, the "live" Webcast doesn't have to be actually live (just like most television programming today!). Previously recorded and archived audio and video teleconferences can be broadcast at a scheduled time.

MacroVOLT Live™ sessions may be organized in a variety of ways to support learning needs. The available components include:

• Audio and video streamed from a remote camera or from a previous recording
• PowerPoint slides or other visuals
• An interactive text chat window where participants may post comments or raise questions
• An agenda for the live session
• Hyperlinks to related Web sites and resource materials

As with other MacroVOLT™ features, the live Webcast tools require no special setup for participants, although a high-speed Internet connection is recommended when streaming video is included. The user interface for each live session can be configured in a number of ways, and these sessions may themselves be recorded and rebroadcast at later times.

We design uses for MacroVOLT Live™ based on client needs, including:

1. The use of one or more live Webcasts as the entire online training or learning experience. The trainers or presenters can be located anywhere there is a suitable Internet connection (high speed and a static IP address) available.
2. The use of one or more live Webcasts to enhance a traditional training or conference. Use pre- or post-conference to augment the sessions. Use during a session to enable presentations by experts who could not travel and attend in person.
3. Use one or more live Webcasts to enhance a MacroVOLT™ self-study course. If the Ask-an-Instructor feature has been offered with the course, the Webcast might feature one or more of the instructors.
