MacroVOLT™ can be used to develop and administer online testing. One or more exams can be conducted, and each exam may consist of any number of questions. The following types of questions are currently supported:
- Yes/no or true/false questions
- Multiple choice with single selection
- Multiple choice, check all that apply
- Prioritizing/rank ordering questions
- Completion/short answer fill-in questions
- Matching questions
- Likert Scale questions
In addition to its versatility and ease of use, MacroVOLT™ offers many advantages for online testing applications.
- Feedback can be customized and returned to the student based on his or her answer to each specific question. In addition to simple "right" or "wrong" feedback, more thoughtful responses can support learning reinforcement.
- Each exam can have an introductory page that may contain audio and video in addition to text and graphical illustrations.
- Exams are automatically scored by MacroVOLT™, and the results are stored in a student records section for review. Not only can exam scores be reviewed, but also the entire exam results, including feedback.
- Completion of exams can be required before the student is allowed to proceed further in the course.
- A minimum passing score can be specified in the exam's setup.
- The course designer can customize and offer an attractive certificate of completion. The certificate can be printed to a local printer or downloaded as a PDF file.
